Illness and Covid-19 Policy

Schools remain a major accelerator of disease transmission within communities. Post-pandemic illness policies within schools have largely ignored Covid-19 pandemic learnings, especially with regard to the role of air quality in the transmission of illness. The Greenwall School takes an active approach to illness management and promises the following safeguards:

-The majority of the school day is spent outdoors in fresh air.

-Indoor classroom air quality is continuously monitored via Aranet 4 (live AQI available to parents remotely via app) and CO2 levels kept at 800 or below.

-Multiple HEPA machines run continuously in all indoor learning spaces.

-Students and staff are asked to remain at home if symptomatic for any illness. Testing for Covid-19 is mandatory for staff and strongly encouraged for families. Those who test positive for Covid-19 are asked to remain home until they test negative.

-Masking is supported.
